Here at MY 409 I will help you fill the gaps for your 348-409 rebuild and/or modification. I have been into these motors for over 20 years now, and when I first started out, not many rebuild parts were obtainable. Now it is different, with all sorts of goodies like stroker pistons and HEI distrubitors readlly available.
I am constantly in touch with different suppliers in the USA who not only have 348/409 motor parts, but also restoration and hard to find used parts for Chev cars and pickups.
I really like the idea of installing a modern AM/FM retro radio with AUX input, Flash drive input etc, back in the original holes in your dash. Original / authentic style radios are also available. If all else fails I can convert your original radio to AM/FM, 4 channel with AUX input. These modern retro style radios are available for a wide range Aussie and imported classics OF ALL MAKES as well as being ideal for Customs and Rods. A good range of speakers and accessories designed especially for Classics, Rods and Customs are also available. I cater for all makes of classics when it comes to radios, headers and door seals.

Have you seen the original advertising Chev used in newspapers or magazines, I have lots available (laminated color copies) from 1927 to 1971.
At the present time I am working on the production of cast alloy oil pans for these W motors, with other cast alloy parts on the drawing board.
My rebuilt (5000 mile)`63 425hp 409 is having a rest at the moment, while waiting to be placed in the `63 Biscayne 2 door sedan. It saw its first 5000 mile in the `62 Bubble top. The 280HP Tripower 348 (rebuilt 12000 mile ago) saw its first 7000 miles in the `59 Apache, then 5000 miles in the Bubble top. It is also having a rest on the floor. I have recently got the `60 Elcamino on the road, factory 250hp 348, it has been sitting for quite a while and burns a bit of oil, so if it doesn`t settle down, maybe the tripower 348 might find its way into the Elcamino.
MY 409 offers complete motors when available, 348 or 409. Custom orders are a speciality, I will track down whatever you require.
